I wish I could say something great here – but I’m just a normal girl who struggled with finding a fitness routine that worked well for me prior to starting at Tone House. I played sports in high school, but that was ages ago!

WHY TONE HOUSE?

Because Jared Sobel and Riana Bauman convinced me to try it. Ever since I’ve been hooked (minus my first class ha!).

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN COMING TO TONE HOUSE?

FAVORITE TONE HOUSE CLASS (CONDITIONING, UPPER BODY, ETC.):

At first, my favorite was Total Body. But as the weeks went on, I think Core Day slowly crept up to 1st place. I’ve seen such a massive change from that class! It’s helped me build endurance, and also the abs I never knew I could have.

FAVORITE TONE HOUSE “TOY” (EQUIPMENT) TO USE IN CLASS:

I really like the ab dolly and TRX bands.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE COACH THAT YOU ENJOY TAKING THEIR CLASS? WHY?

Ah, I feel bad answering this one. All of the Coaches are incredible – but, I’d have to say that Greg’s one of my favorites. He holds me accountable and pushes me the most – but also makes me laugh at the same time. He’s seen me progress and knows exactly what to say to make me run a little bit faster, gallop a little bit harder, and put in the work. When you commit, you see the rewards. (And if you don’t he’ll “charge your credit card twice ;-)”

WHAT WERE YOUR GOALS FOR YOUR BIG WEDDING DAY?

After getting engaged I made it my mission to become more fit. I wanted to lose weight, but more importantly tone.
The transformation that took place is beyond words for me. I feel more confident in my skin now than ever before.

HOW DID TONE HOUSE HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR WEDDING GOALS?

When I was introduced to Tone House in October of 2017 I can’t say I was immediately hooked. My first class was a TH101 on Conditioning Day (WHY! I would ever sign up for that as my first is beyond me). There were about 6 people in our class and I was absolutely dead mid-warm up. I’m not typically a quitter, but I was NOT prepared for what I was walking into. Needless to say, I left halfway through. I was so upset with myself for leaving, I immediately signed back up for a TH101: Total Body Day – determined to make it through. I walked out of that class feeling accomplished, knowing that I just finished the hardest class I had ever taken before. The next day, I purchased the 5 Class Pack. Shortly thereafter I noticed myself going from 1 class a week, to 2 classes a week, to 3, to then 4! As Liz at the UES location has said before – “I go through classes like Godiva Chocolates.”
Tone House helped me accomplish both of my goals – to lose weight and tone.
Believe it or not though – I never actually weighed myself. A number on the scale wasn’t important to me. FEELING the difference was. I know that I’ve lost weight because of how my clothes fit.
Initially, my wedding dress had long sleeves. I had picked my dress back in August before I really started to workout. I didn’t choose a dress with sleeves to “cover” my arms per se, but one of my happiest moments was making the decision to cut those sleeves off. Especially now, being that they are defined!

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT TONE HOUSE THAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT FROM OTHER GYMS/WORKOUTS?

I’d have to say that this is the first and only class that I ACTUALLY enjoy taking. Working out to me before always seemed like a chore. Now, when a day goes by and I haven’t taken class, I miss it. I love that it’s competitive, but you’re also part of a team. Everyone’s there to push and support each other. There’s nothing better than hearing your name being called while you’re doing the speed work portion of the class – it pushes you even harder to do your best.
You have built such an incredible community and I’m proud to be a part of it. I’ve made great new friends, and finally have a place I can go to that makes working out exciting.
