MEET ADAM DEUTSCH, a trial attorney and more importantly, a full-time father who hadn’t workout out in 5 years before coming to Tone House 5 weeks ago. Now that Adam hits the Turf regularly and has been eating TH Fuel he has seen tremendous progress over the last several weeks (he’s lost 25 lbs!) and doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

Here’s what keeps Adam coming back to the Turf…

FITNESS/ATHLETIC BACKGROUND: 

Basketball and soccer in high school, one year of college basketball. Nothing at all in the last 5 years.

 

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN COMING TO TONE HOUSE? 

Five weeks.

 

FAVORITE TONE HOUSE CLASS (CONDITIONING, UPPER BODY, ETC.): 

They are all challenging. However, nothing beats the feeling of conquering Conditioning Day.

 

FAVORITE TONE HOUSE “TOY” (EQUIPMENT) TO USE IN CLASS: 

Definitely the sleds. Being 6’7” the sleds are one of the few toys that I actually have an advantage on.

 

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE COACH THAT YOU ENJOY TAKING THEIR CLASS? WHY? 

Have to go with my man Shaun. It’s thanks to him and his motivation that I ever braved TH in the first place. We graduated from college together and when I hit 40 I was way overweight and lacked all motivation. It was Shaun and his social media that got me motivated and interested in trying TH. When I was intimidated to give it a try Shaun pushed me and thanks to him I am now hooked.  But honestly, every Coach has been beyond incredible.

 

HOW HAS TONE HOUSE HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR FITNESS GOALS THUS FAR? 

First off, I haven’t achieved my goals yet but I am on the way. We can talk again when I can make it through my third laps of gallops without stopping. However, Tone House has really given me a jump-start into getting back into shape. Before coming to TH five weeks ago, other than playing some Saturday morning basketball, I had literally not worked out in close to five years. I have been at it now for five weeks and along with eating better – including some great Tone House Fuel meals – I have dropped 25 pounds! I sometimes dread going to class but the second it is over I can’t wait to come back and do it again. All of the Coaches and really everyone in the class has pushed me harder than I thought I could go.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT TONE HOUSE?

Without a doubt, it’s the team environment. For an out of shape guy like me, it’s refreshing to watch everyone struggle. What I love about Tone House is that it is just straight up hard no matter how badass you are. It’s amazing that as intense as it is people really do leave their egos at the door. Then there is the motivation the coaches give when you are on your knees and don’t have another Gallop left in you and they tell you that you can do it and not to quit. The combination of the Coaches and the team make all the difference.

FAVORITE MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE: 

“Whatever. Whenever.” Not sure it’s really a quote but it is the promise I made my wife when we got married and my only tattoo.  Gives me the motivation to know that I will do whatever, whenever to make her and my kids happy.

OTHER COMMENTS:

Just want to thank everyone who makes Tone House what it is. In five short weeks, it has really changed my outlook on what I can accomplish from a fitness perspective. Never could have imagined the gains I have made in such a short period of time. Hopefully, it’s just the beginning and maybe one day I can rock a class with my shirt off.
